These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website bjjhouseokinawa.com and the Flow Jiu Jitsu System online course and related products (the “Service”), operated by BJJ House Okinawa (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Okinawa, Japan. By creating an account, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service provides online instructional video content on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (the “Flow Jiu Jitsu System”), delivered through a members’ area on our website. Two products are currently offered:
- Lifetime Access — a one-time payment of USD 197 granting ongoing access for as long as the Service remains available.
- Monthly Membership — a recurring subscription of USD 20 per month that grants access while the subscription is active.
All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD). We may add, change, or discontinue content or products at any time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to purchase.
- An account is created for you at purchase. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. License and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the course content for your own training. You may not:
- Share, resell, sublicense, or distribute your account or the content;
- Download, copy, record, screen-capture, or redistribute the videos or materials, except where a download is expressly provided;
- Use the content to teach paid classes or create competing products without our written permission;
- Attempt to bypass access controls or use the Service unlawfully.
All content, including videos, text, graphics, and the “Flow Jiu Jitsu System” name and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
4. Payments and renewals
- Payments are processed by our payment providers (Stripe for cards; PayPal). We do not store your full card details.
- The Monthly Membership renews automatically each month using your payment method on file, until you cancel. You authorize these recurring charges.
- You can cancel the Monthly Membership at any time from your account (My Account → Subscriptions). See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- If a payment fails, access may be suspended until payment is resolved.
5. Health and safety disclaimer
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a physical contact activity that carries inherent risks of injury. The content is for general instructional purposes only and is not medical, health, or fitness advice. Consult a physician before beginning any training program. You train at your own risk and are responsible for practicing safely and within your ability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the content or your training.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be achieved. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms (for example, by sharing or pirating content). You may stop using the Service at any time; for the Monthly Membership, cancel to stop future renewals.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Naha District Court (Okinawa), except where mandatory consumer law gives you other rights.
