This Privacy Policy explains how BJJ House Okinawa (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use bjjhouseokinawa.com and the Flow Jiu Jitsu System online course (the “Service”). We are based in Okinawa, Japan.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, and a password (stored encrypted) created when you purchase or register.
- Purchase information — products bought, order history, and subscription status. Card details are entered directly with our payment providers; we do not see or store full card numbers.
- Course activity — your lesson progress and which lessons you have viewed, so we can show your progress and let you continue where you left off.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and basic usage data collected automatically for security and to operate the site.
- Communications — messages you send us by email or other contact channels.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and give you access to purchased content;
- To process payments and manage subscriptions and renewals;
- To send you essential service emails (account confirmation, password reset, purchase receipts);
- To provide support and respond to your requests;
- To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Payment processing: Stripe and PayPal.
- Email delivery: our email-sending provider, used to deliver transactional emails.
- Video lessons: lessons are embedded from YouTube (Google); watching them may set YouTube cookies.
- Website hosting: Hostinger.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — for example, to keep you logged in and to remember your shopping cart. Third-party embeds (such as YouTube) and payment providers may set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above to operate the Service, or when required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account (see your rights below).
7. Your rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by contacting us at bjjhouseokinawa@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
